Systems Analysis

The objective of systems analysis is to research, develop and apply methods and models to provide clients and their customers with an improved basis for decision-making. It is an explicit formal inquiry carried out to help someone identify a better course of action and make a better decision than might otherwise have made.

The characteristic attributes of a problem situation where systems analysis is called upon are complexity of the issue and uncertainty of the outcome of any course of action that might reasonably be taken.

Brian Watson & Co will identify or reexamine the objectives, constraints, and alternative courses of action; assess the probable consequences of the alternatives in terms of costs, benefits, and risks; present the results in a comparative framework so that the decision maker can make an informed choice from the alternatives.

Typically our client use the results of our systems analysis to guide decisions on issues such as the introduction of e-enablement or other software programme or to aid research and development in technology issues.
